The rights pursuant to art. 7 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003

 

The interested party, i.e. anyone processing personal data, pursuant to art. 7 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 shall have the right to obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of their personal data, even if such data has not yet been registered and request that such data is communicated in an intelligible form and to obtain an indication of the source of the personal data, of the purposes and methods of the processing, of the logic applied to the processing, if the latter is carried out with the help of electronic means, of the identification data concerning the data controller, data processors and the representative designated as per article 5, section 2, of the entities or categories of entity to whom or to which the personal data may be communicated and that may learn of this data in their capacity as designated representative in the State territory, of data managers or data processors.

 

A data subject shall have the right to obtain:

 

a) updating, rectification, i.e. where the same has an interest, integration of the data;

 

b) deletion, anonymization or blocking of the data that has been processed unlawfully, including data whose retention is unnecessary for the purposes for which it has been collected or subsequently processed;

 

c) certification to the effect that the operations as per letters a) and b) have been communicated, also relating to their contents, to the entities to whom or to which the data was communicated or disseminated, unless this requirement proves impossible or involves a manifestly disproportionate effort compared to the right to be protected.

A data subject shall have the right to object, in whole or in part: on legitimate grounds, to the processing of personal data concerning them, even if it is relevant to the purpose of the collection, to the processing of personal data concerning them, where it is performed for the purpose of sending advertising materials or for direct selling or to perform market or commercial communication surveys.
